From Iowa to California, our 3 day roadtrip.

A roadtrip back to my home state was a last minute decision this current year. Going back was never part of my plan but life happened and here we are. Leaving stuff behind wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. I think leaving the beautiful small town of Storm Lake hurt the most.

Storm Lake was beautiful and it was nice to experience the year round seasons that Southern California doesn’t have. But like any other place it has the good and bad moments. I suppose I should start with the bad, cancer. Cancer rates in Iowa are high and what I hear it’s from our water. The quality of our water isn’t that great and rumor has it, that it’s worse during winter or high nitrates. After looking more into this, I have decided to move my family back home.

I have 2 small children, a 3 year and a 10 month old, boys. I like to believe that it’d be nice for the grandparents to have their grandchildren closer to them. Time is passing by and I hear time passes by quickly.
